The EcoPROLIVE Olive Flour arrives at the market to be used as a healthy food additive (3%-6%) to enrich the food matrix. It can be used to season snacks, pasta, salads or baked products (bread, biscuits) for a healthy boost of flavor and to improve preservation. Add 3% of EcoPROLIVE Olive Flour to a conventional cereal flour for an extra source of fiber or add 6% of EcoPROLIVE for a high-fibre upgrade. Additionally, the EcoPROLIVE Olive Flour contains olive phenolic compounds with antioxidant and antibacterial characteristics.

Formats:

Cornicabra: Its name refers to the curved shape of the fruit, which is reminiscent of a goat horn. Highly aromatic, with notes other fruits including apple. Herbal olive leaves notes can be appreciated on the palate, with a slightly bitter taste.

Arróniz: Its name refers to the location where the variety is located. Balanced and complex, with medium-to-strong fruitiness (>4.5), green notes, and a distinctive but balanced bitterness and spiciness, with mild to medium intensity.

Picual: With great personality and full body. A slight spicy and bitter olive leaf taste can be appreciated. Notes of tomato plant, herbs, wheat and green almond when tasting. Floral touch reminiscent of the Mediterranean landscape. Balanced and harmonious structure. High stability (resistance to oxidation) which gives it great resistance to high temperatures.

Gourmet-blend: balanced Cornicabra-Arróniz-Picual blend for the best EVOO. Highly aromatic, with notes of fruity olive -slightly spicy apple- and great personality.

Essential Olive Oil (Olea europaea)

The essential olive oil can be used as a base for the preparation of many types of edible, cosmetics and massages oils. The essential oil contains a high concentration of three major antioxidants (on average 5 times more than EVOOs): vitamin E, polyphenols (antioxidants), and phytosterols.

  • Vitamin E partly accounts for the anti-aging benefits of olive oil because it helps restore skin smoothness and protects against ultraviolet light.
  • Antioxidants, when topically applied, help protect the skin from premature skin aging.
  • Hydroxytyrosol prevents the damage inflicted to the skin by free radicals.

100% organic, natural oils used in cosmetics have dermatological properties and are highly moisturizing. It penetrates deeply into our skin making it smooth, elastic and nourished.

The oil is made from the pulp and not the kernel of the olive and different qualities are available. The oil is extracted using an innovative, clean and environmental friendly CO2 supercritical extraction technology, currently applied for the extraction of phytochemicals from plants and herbs. The extraction is done under low temperatures in a moderate time, resulting in a highly selective extraction that allows obtaining tailored-made extracts and essential oils.
